On Friday 23rd February 2024 some 50 or 60 friends gathered at Trinity Congregational Church, Brixton to mark the launch of Alan Argent’s history of this Chapel, A Brixton Chapel. Prof Clyde Binfield (who also wrote the foreword and is a long time friend of the chapel), Dr Richard Cleaves and Alan Argent gave brief talks on Trinity after which all shared in refreshments and conversation. This was a very happy occasion, bringing together old and new friends. Trinity Chapel was founded in 1828 unusually by four women and one man. It has survived wars and riots and shows signs of healthy life and growth.
